I'm heading the floors of the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco and, once again, I'm surprised and disappointed not to see any French Pavilion on the floors (it was the same thing past years, at GDC as in E3).
I've seen a Canadian Pavilion, a German, a Japanese, a Korean, even a Benelux one (Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands).
How come France is missing from the picture??? We have such great companies in games: the big ones such as Atari, UbiSoft, Vivendi (now with Activision, ...), a lot of talented developers such as Globz and plenty of others, innovators in digital distribution such as Metaboli, Boonty (my company), ...
I'm living in New York for the past 4 years developing the US market but I'm still French (and still will be) and I wish my country could have a better representation in my sector!
Maybe next year?
